UBC Hospital Ketamine Intervention Program
A publicly funded outpatient ketamine program for treatment-resistant depression, by psychiatrist referral, for residents of the Vancouver Coastal Health region.
This is the public option. The outpatient Ketamine Intervention Program at UBC Hospital treats adults with treatment-resistant depression who have not benefited from other antidepressants and therapy. It is run by Vancouver Coastal Health and is free to eligible patients.
Access is by referral: your psychiatrist assesses eligibility and sends a referral form to the program. It is limited to people living in the Vancouver Coastal Health catchment, and wait times vary. If you have a psychiatrist and live in the region, ask about this before paying privately.
